Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike has been elected to the 2018-19 Executive Committee of the National Sheriffs’ Association Board of Directors, one of only five Board members who, along with the elected officers, direct the affairs of the Association between meetings of the entire Board. Sheriff Spike has long represented New York’s Sheriffs at the national level. In addition to serving on the NSA Board of Directors, he has been active on numerous NSA committees, including the National Sheriffs’ Institute and Training Outreach Committee, and the Global Policing Affairs, Court Security, Civil and Correction committees. The Executive Committee is headed by NSA President Sheriff John Layton, who was an honored guest at our Association’s Sheriffs’ Summer Training Conference in Buffalo in July
