Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero, President of the Board of The Partnership for Ontario County, presented two Youth Awards in honor of retiring 54th District NYS Senator Michael Nozzolio at their annual meeting last week.
Justin Boyer and Mackenna Bluett were awarded for their service and 24 Youth Court graduates received letters of appreciation from Senator Nozzolio for their service. Justin volunteered with Ontario County Youth Court for the past four years. Mackenna has participated in multiple marketing meetings for the Partnership’s Substance Abuse Coalition and designed flyers and marketing materials for the “Monitor, Secure, Dispose” drug campaign.
Sheriff Povero said, “The Partnership Board dedicates this Youth Award in honor of Senator Nozzolio’s unwavering support and dedication to the youth of this community. We sincerely appreciate his state advocacy and his focus on youth development. His support has allowed the Partnership to provide additional prevention programming and we now serve at least 22% of the youth under the age of 18.”
