Fifty-six Law Enforcement Supervisors from 30 sheriff’s offices around the state attended specialized training for Law Enforcement Division Supervisors at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs, NY in September.
The three-day program, sponsored and organized by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association and the New York State Sheriffs’ Institute, provides participants with training in the latest advances in law enforcement.
The chief officer in the sheriff’s road patrol division, law enforcement supervisors are responsible for criminal and traffic law enforcement, sex offender management, investigations, and administrative matters for their divisions.
Sessions included:
- Monroe County Case Study: Rideout Murder Investigation and Trial, Captain Douglas Comanzo and Investigator David Bolton, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office
- St. Lawrence County Case Study: Amish Kidnapping Case, Undersheriff Brooks Bigwarfe and Detective Sergeant Caringi, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office
